Order Cancellation/Returns Policy

You have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to the end of 7 working days after you receive the goods. You do not have the right to cancel the contract if the order is for computer software which has been unsealed by you. Also you are unable to cancel download software once the software has been emailed. 

 

Cancellation of Downloadable Software:

 

All purchases of Applications are final. You cannot cancel your purchase of an Application once delivery has started, including via download. By placing an order to purchase an Application, you acknowledge and agree to this. We do not accept returns of Applications, except as required by law. Once you purchase an Application and we or the Publisher make it available to you, you are responsible for downloading (if applicable) and confirming your ability to access Applications, including retrieving the licence key for the Application if applicable, and bear all risk of loss thereafter, including any loss due to a computer or hard drive malfunction. If you are unable to complete a download or access an Application, please email us on web@softwarebrands.co.uk for assistance.

 

To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to softwarebrands. Giving details of the goods ordered and (where appropriate) their delivery. It is your responsibility to ensure we receive this notification. (You may be asked to provide evidence of this in the unlikely event we do not have a record of your notification) Notification by telephone is not accepted.

Exceptions to the right include software OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) software are not returnable nor refundable this is due to the product activation key code being exposed. OEM hardware is not refundable but an exchange will be offered only. These items will remain the property of the consumer and will not be credited.

The 7-day and the 14-day returns regulations impose a responsibility on the consumer to take reasonable care of any goods that have been supplied. The obligation applies before as well as after the consumer has given the notice of cancellation. The 7-day provision is designed to ensure such goods can be sold as new again. You will be wholly responsible under the 7-day regulation for the cost of return delivery and all damages will be at the consumer’s risk. We interpret reasonable care as meaning the goods are in perfect condition with all box and packaging intact. All accessories must be unopened. Goods that have not been agreed by softwarebrands for return will not be accepted and will be refused. Goods that do not fall into the above criteria and are not resalable as new will be subjected to a 25% handling fee off the purchase price to bring product into a saleable condition. All transactions processed comply with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000.
