| The enhanced Backup Exec 2010 Agent for Enterprise Vault provides customers with new integrated backup protection for Symantec Enterprise Vault archives, including support for Enterprise Vault 8. Backup Exec provides full application protection for Enterprise Vault Directory Databases, partitions or Vault Stores and indexes. Symantec Enterprise Vault customers can now backup and recover data quickly and easily with the latest Agent for Enterprise Vault archives. All backup and recovery jobs are managed though the Backup Exec console which allows users to easily select some or all of the Enterprise Vault resources they wish to backup as well as quickly browse and select the Enterprise Vault components for recovery, including individual partition files and indexes.
System Requirements for Backup Exec 2010 Agent For Enterprise Vault with Essential Maintenance
The following are the minimum system requirements to run Backup Exec 2010 Base Core functions.
Note: Some Agent/Options have additional requirements.

Service Pack 1 is required for SQL Server 2005 Express.
Processor
Processor Intel Pentium, Xeon, AMD, or compatible.
Memory
Required: 512 MB RAM
Recommended: 1 GB RAM (or more for better performance)
Note: RAM requirements may vary depending on the operations performed, the options installed, and the specific computer configuration.
For the Central Admin Server Option: 512 MB RAM required, 1 GB recommended.
Virtual Memory Recommendations: 20 MB above the Windows recommended size for total paging file size (total for all disk volumes).
Refer to your Microsoft Windows help documentation for instructions on how to view or set the paging file size.
